Candidate must posses minimum Educational Qualification i.e. 12 th Class pass in 10+2 Pattern.
NDA selection exams is held in Two Stages.
I. Written Examination
I. NDA Written Examination:
The exam will check abilities of a candidate on 2 subjects, Maths and General Ability Test. Each subject will be of 2 ½ Hours, maximum marks for Maths is 300 & General ability is 600. The papers will be of objective type questions only. NDA aspirants may choose to attempt in Hindi or English as the question papers will be set bilingually in Hindi as well as English. UPSC have sole discretion to fix qualifying marks in any or all the subjects at the NDA examination.
II. SSB Interview:
Candidates who qualify written exam will be called for Interview which is conducted by SSB (Services selection board). There several tests are held. For Army, Navy Wings & 10 +2 Entry Scheme, Intelligence Test & Personality Test are held, but for Air Force Wing the candidates are required to attend a Pilot Aptitude Test along with Intelligence & Personality Test.
Intelligence and Personality Test:
Again the full SSB Interview procedure consists of two stages for Selection process-stage I and stage II.
If a candidate clears the stage I, will be permitted to appear for stage II.
The details are :
a. Stage I of SSB will comprises of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests, Picture Perception Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be shortlisted based on combined result of performance in QIR Test and PP and DT.
b. Stage II SSB will Comprises of Group Testing Officer Tasks, Interview, Psychology Tests and the Conference. These tests are conducted over 4 days.
